Video Specifications

Standard Online Delivery

By default Vanilla Video films all events and video productions in 24 frames per second, with the exception of sporting events and slow motion capture. Sports are typically filmed in 720/60p unless otherwise directed. Slow motion is recorded at 60 frames per second and played back at 24 frames per second.

Note that some cameras are unable to shoot 60p at a 1080p resolution. Please let us know prior to filming if you require specific settings or equipment, e.g., cameras or lenses, resolutions, color profiles, bitrates, or any other specifications. It’s extremely important to provide specifications prior to ordering / filming.

Unless provided explicit directives otherwise, Vanilla Video delivers a 720p High Definition video along with a complementary 360p Streaming version through our Vanilla Viewer. We use the de facto Internet-Standard settings for both of these popular resolutions. If an event or video production was shot in 1080p it is also possible to upgrade to 1080p online delivery for $59.

Please see our standard Vanilla Delivery Options below:

Online delivery requires us to compress the raw footage. If your project requires the original camera source files, we are able to mail the source files on a portable hard drive. Preparation and shipping can take about 7-10 business days. Please be aware that camera source files may be difficult to work with for the non-savvy user.

Camera Source Settings

Video can be shot and encoded in a variety of formats. If you do not specify settings, or only provide partial information, our videographers will make best-guess assumptions.
