Video Project Description
Interview following the Girl Scouts of America attempt to set the Guinness World Record for “Most People Play a Card Game Simultaneously in the Same City.” Girl Scouts gathered at Navy Pier in Chicago to play Top Trumps at the Chicago Toy and Game Fair to beat the record set in 2010 by a group of 2,292 people in Spain.
This interview captures a group of girl scouts and their brothers being interviewed news-broadcast style at the event. The group of kids cheers as the host introduces the winner of the card game. The young champion explains which card allowed her to win the game. Before concluding the short thirty second interview, the winner shows the camera her medal and the host announces her as the Guinness World Record Winner.
The women playing news anchor hosts ramp up the energy of everyone in the crowd and get all the kids excited for their time on camera. The Top Trumps spokespeople chose an area with a colorful branded backdrop and fun bean bags for the kids to sit on during the interview. The Top Trumps brand is well represented throughout the video eliminating the need for any motion graphics or text editing over the video. This also enables the video to maintain a genuine feel, without appearing like a commercial.
Vanilla Video is a popular option for professional videography of convention style events. We can provide backdrops and studio lighting, or we can do spontaneous man-on-the-street interviews throughout the event space. Many companies invest a lot of money on creating their booths for a convention – these spaces offer great backgrounds for interviews and testimonials alike. This sample involves a staged group of children as well as interview hosts and the main interviewee. Together, the group of hosts and kids strengthen the brand while telling a story of the days’ events.
